So according to the newspaper article yesterday and today the turbines were going to be turned on for testing between Midnight and 4:00 A.M. Indeed according to the notice on the Town website, the testing will happen. There will be, I imagine further testing over the next week or two.
The D.E.P. testing will essentially determine the next moves relative to the selectmen's 30 day notice. The results are going to inspire some interesting responses no matter what.
How the test affect the B of H action? Your guess is as good a mine. The Town website notice states it is from the Board of Health. Interesting term used in the notice, "mitigation test process".
The only certainty at this point, for better or worse, the town is married to the D.E.P. testing at this point.
In case you haven't heard:
1. Markey was elected senator yesterday.
2. Water restriction ban in town was lifted yesterday.
3. Unofficially (due to no official announcement) members of the government study committee have been appointed.
4. Acushnet voters defeat the ballot question for the proposed library.
5. Suburbs on the Southcoast mainly vote for Gomez (of all towns reporting on the SouthCoast only Dartmouth and Rochester went to Markey. See Standard Times page A9).
6. Gay marriage decision from the U.S. Supreme Court to be issued today.
All little tidbits of some note.
All there is for today. Be safe.
