Happy Triskaideka Day!

Here I was thinking today was going to be just another day, until someone pointed out to me this is a holiday of sorts.  Takes all kinds. Apparently gloomy skies and the rain that falls from the same are some of the trimmings that come with such a day.

There is an old saying that luck is where you find it.  That may be, so if you do find it, let me know where to look.

Anyway ...

The best part of the day is in fact that it is Friday.  For many, if not most of us, the official work week ends with today. Unfortunately for many, if not all of us, works seems to somehow carry over into the weekend.

Anyway ...

Something truly worth noting. Next Thursday at West Island, the Town Government Study Committee will hold its first public forum.  It may be taped, it won't be aired live. Point is it is being held for people to come forward to provide input.

No matter what anyone feels about this process, the biggest problem that any recommendation will face are the last minute opinions and ideas that people toss out at the end of the process.

Tossing out ideas here or on other sites does not equate to making your views known to the Committee.

Again, next Thursday, Sept. 19th at 6:00 P.M.  West Island Improvement Association.  Go over the causeway, drive straight until the straight ends.

If for no other reason, refreshments will be served.  So I am told anyway.

I think that is it for today.

Be Safe.
