Predicitions

This is set to publish at 7:59.  Hopefully I didn't mess up the delayed publication.

Predictions (please note that these are in fact predictions, not preferences, not endorsements, and not anything but guess work).

Tree Warden - Medeiros.

BPW - Riley and Hobson

Board of Health - Gordon

School Committee - Gonsalves and McKenna

Selectmen - My head, heart and gut are all pulling in different directions here.  Wish I could of had a breakdown of who voted and from what specific areas, but will have to make do with the old fashion way, guessing.  Looking at the turnouts in the various precincts going into the evening, my prediction is:

                     Espindola

Will throw my two cents in on the various races and outcomes, maybe tomorrow (might take the day off though), but certainly over the next few days.

I feel very comfortable in saying that whether my preferred candidates lose or my predictions are right or wrong, the group of people who ran did in my opinion seem to have a genuine concern for doing what is best for the town.  They kept it above board in the public campaigning.

You do not have to agree with someone to be willing to acknowledge their point of view and concern, and not only their willingness, but right to be involved.

Wish I could say the same for some working behind the scenes (and some not so behind the scenes). I will add at this point some people on the various sides need to take a long hard look at what they complain of and what they actually do.

Will the world end for anyone if someone they didn't back gets elected, no.  Everyone needs to remember that just because someone does not agree with you, does not make them bad, evil, and a bunch of other things it seems some people on both sides of issues like to label others as being.

The town will still be here tomorrow. The people elected will get to work to do what they feel is best for the town.  Might have some interesting debate for awhile, but the world will still turn.

Congratulations to the winners, whoever you will actually be.  Hats off to all the candidates.

So that is it for now.
