A footnote

Dang. I forgot to tell you all.  Big, big day today. The Governor's proposed budget is to be released.

What this should mean, now that we have a governor more inclined to formulate a budget on actual existing revenue sources rather than nonexistent sources. the initial cherry sheet should be the least amount the town can expect.

If true to his word, he isn't going to balance the state on the back of the local communities.

As important as that local aid will be, within a few days we will see the NSS figure. Yep, you have to figure what that is for yourself.

Only kidding.  Net School Spending.

Big, big component, both to the local system and the Voc Tech appropriation.

There will be more on that, tomorrow on the local aid if the proposed budget comes out early enough. NSS has to wait for the actual figure.

Interesting stories about past attitudes and figures and stuff.  But that's for another day.
