Sunday's puzzle, a bit early

Ever sit in a room full of people and be told by everyone in the room, one by one, that something that happened in the room was not their idea. The one thing for certain that you do know is it was certainly not your own idea.

I mean the event happened, so someone had to think it up? Plan it and arrange it. Right?

Just simply frustrating when meetings get high jacked, and no one will step to the plate to claim the act.  Where is D.B. Cooper nowadays?

Anyway ... just another reason that one has less regrets with each passing day about decisions to call an end to the insanity.  It is insanity. Knowing that some things just never change no matter what, no matter how you try.

But I digress ... well not really right ... I haven't started to focus on anything yet, have I.

Hats folks. that is the topic.  Knowing the hat you wear. Knowing what that hat means.  The reality of life is that while someone can borrow your hat, it still is your hat to wear.  Putting a crown on the jester's head doesn't change the fact of who is king.

If it doesn't fit right, perhaps you ought to consider getting rid of it.  Or maybe simply adjust the head band for the proper fit.

I can imagine the head scratching going on out there. What the heck is this one all about?  Chalk it up the the self-therapy/indulgence.

If I am counting the days correctly, 168 to go.  Truthfully I am not sure my hat has enough wears left in it to make that countdown. Two dozen days right now seems longer than what may be possible.

Here is the most frustrating thing, I really understand that the intentions of most are noble; that there is in fact an element of a good faith belief, sincere desire. But the same aren't enough. Responsibility comes into play also.

I know I keep pulling out some well worn statements/standards; and, the continued use of them with the hope some might pay attention but never do, certainly falls into Einstein's theory (you know the one if you are a regular reader), but because you have the right to do something, doesn't always make it the right thing to do.

What's that other old saying, phrased in the form of a question, "Being right at what cost?"

While I am on a rambling rant, why is it so many people seem to have so many ideas but expect everyone in the first instance agree because they think it is a great idea, and in the second instance expect everyone else to do the legwork, brain work, and hard sell for the idea?

As an FYI, BTW, nomination papers for elected offices in April will be available come December 1, 2014. the town election calendar has been posted on the town website.

Seems to be a little snafu with the Selectmen's agenda for Monday night. The only thing posted is the tree hearing notice.  If anyone knew what they should know, this one could be real interesting.

Hindsight and foresight, two vision problems that government always seems to need corrective lenses for.

Okay, I think that is enough jumble for the moment.

Enjoy your chilly weekend.

Be safe!
