Thinking a bit

What's that song about rainy days and Mondays?  Well as Monday started is was not raining, just cloudy, bu as always this work week definitely started out with a Monday, and was followed by a rainy day, and it is ending with a rainy morning. What's that song again?

At least this morning the rain is suppose to stop, the sun is suppose to shine and the weekend outlook is a welcome one.

Anyway ...

Some interesting stuff out on the rumor mill.  It would be really interesting if this were a gossip column, but it isn't. I am not that bored yet. Got to admit though, that type of stuff does sell.  What we concern ourselves with here however, is hopefully more in tune to what we should be listening to and not the noise that isn't any one of our concerns.

To that end, and what is of concern is what happens going forward.  At this particular point, it seems it is all guessing games.  There are some signs of early jockeying for position.  Appropriate I guess with the triple crown still in play.

Never too soon to start thinking about April. If you are serious about it that is.  Might be too late for some to think about it though. One thing people have in our fair haven is a long memory. That certainly can be a good thing at times.

At least when the memories are not tainted by time and personal preferences.  Memories should always encompass facts. The details that existed and not the ideals we would have preferred. Facts are often overlooked. Not just when considering the past, but the present and the future.

We can never change what was. We can disguise. Hide it. Run away from it.  But not change the actual events, just the perception.

We can attempt to alter what is. We can attempt to manipulate the circumstances. We can try to alter the perception. But it always is what it is.

We can try to influence the future. Attempt to alter what it may be. We cannot however sweep away the facts that lead to that desire.  We cannot ignore them. The facts exist.

You may not get what is being written here. That's okay. Not sure I can coherently explain the thought process at the moment.

Because that is how I remember it, or how I want to deal with it, or how I want it to be doesn't make it so. We all have, I am sure, at one time or another, or will at some time, wish that was or is in fact so. Reality, especially when ignored, more often than not, dictates otherwise.

Again, anyway ...

Today is the beginning of a long holiday weekend.  Hopefully we all can take a moment on Monday to remember what the holiday, the Memorial Day, is intended to represent.

That is all that should be needed to be said about the Day.

Anyway, again ...

That is about it for today.  Not much I know.  Not much to get into as not much detail out there.

Be safe.
