Friday Edition, Part 2

Absolutely cannot believe how I missed this one perusing through SouthCoastToday.com.  Miss it I did nonetheless.  Reading through this one, it will be interesting indeed when other issues in certain areas are dealt with.

Things just seem to keep getting curiouser and curiouser.

  1. “AS THE BLADE TURNS” local fiasco continues…

A couple of softball questions from a local reporter show just how little the three Selectmen and two Board of Health members understanding are in handling this matter. They misread a local bylaw, which is now non-existent, but still could be used if need be, because they didn’t ask anyone to read it “for them”. Their professional staff is sticking their heads in the sand because they don’t understand what these officials are doing either. “The Guy” is mum as well. No DEP report and no local bylaw to back up the “violation”. Now we know just how bad an attorney for Fairhaven Wind will make our townie actions look in court. Nice going ladies and gentlemen. Tore to shreds by a Standard Times reporter.

Still waiting to hear the answers to my questions on this blog that have gone unanswered for days. No “Anonymous” want to address my legitimate questions? Well then don’t expect any help in return...

  2. The closest “living” abutters, by the way are well over 900 feet away from the turbines. The closest “non-living” abutters, the Nasketucket Cemetery occupants, are also well over 900 feet. I wonder if they are listed in any of the 400 complaints.

Four people listed over half of all the recorded complaints. Some of the others were bullied into reports, no matter where they lived.

There are some legitimate noise complaints and they can be corrected by adjusting the “cut in” speed of the turbines. That’s it folks. I know it’s not dramatic enough for some.

  3. If the BOS and BOH don't understand something, are they acting without advisement from town counsel? How big is the hole going to get, before someone calls 'time out?'

  4. Town counsel does what he is instructed and compensated to do. He is not in charge.

No thanks to “anonymous” I found the 3 or 4 times in the sound study on Sept.26, 2012 where the sound recorded was briefly over 60db for seconds. Thanks to the reporter who pointed it out!

So that was attributed to a passing vehicle and discarded. That sounds logical to me. Does not sound like a “game”. Thrown out because of a passing vehicle! 8:45 PM on a Wednesday night on Mill Road. Probably a pizza delivery to the complainants’ home…

But no, let’s take the “preliminary report” and trump a few minutes over thousands and “rest our case” on a pizza delivery, phoned in like a air strike…

We need to get serious about this before it is out of our hands entirely. A few operational details probably do have to be mitigated. That’s all we know for sure at this time.

  5. We have all heard the comment, (was goes around comes around),well the current state of affairs of the town politics is a good example of what happens when they dont pay attention. Their magical tricks of smoke an mirrors have been blown away by some civic minded an concerned citizens. We should all pay attention to what is going on an make adjustments during the next elections.Or make your voice heard the media choices you have available to you
