TMI Thursday

Well my early morning problem cleared up, but now I have to pick one of the three places I have been asked to go to go to tonight.  I also had to decide whether to post this morning.

I have spent some time this morning reading The Fairhaven Neighborhood News, reading again the articles in The Standard Times, reviewing past issues of both, and numerous posts and comments across the great wide web on sites and pages from which I have not yet been banned.

As to the last viewed references, not so sure I would be distressed at all if I were banned in a few more places.

I suppose from a very selfish perspective I am a bit peeved in that I have had to rip up the outlines for my planned blogs for the next several days.  Granted that in my mind the same are relevant and timely, but I don't intend to join in a game of buck buck after it has been won.

Put another way, there is a big difference between taking a victory lap and re-running the race.

My intended writings would just seem too much like excess at this point.

I think it is also time to add to the previous list of a day or to ago.  Rule No.6, put in very local terms, never forget what suit is trump in a game of pitch. Rule No. 7, again put in very local terms, never play a trump card in a game of pitch too early.

Many things get stated which are in and of themselves legitimate issues.  The problem is many legitimate issues are raised which are not relevant to the time or discussion at hand.  I am sure some will disagree with the "relevant" factor.  what's one more disagreement at this point.

Quite frankly I find it extremely hard to distinguish between tactics put in play and tactics complained of. But what do I know.  It just seems that the more things change, the more they stay the same.  The bus still runs, the route gets changed periodically.

The goose and gander concept folks.  No matter the issue, once you buy into it, all tend to go on a feeding frenzy.

If you don't have a clue as to what any of this is about, I say good for you.  I would advise you to do yourself a favor and not go out of your way to find out.

Anyway, enough. More than enough.

Be safe.

In the beginning ...

OK, I am going to start bare bones on this blog, since I really don't have a clue as to how to proceed otherwise. I just thought it might be good to have a spot to discuss Fairhaven area issues that I, or you might consider important (or any issue for that matter, thus the "and more").

At some point, comments will become "un-moderated" or whatever the proper term is. I want to see if there is any real interest in this first.   Just as importantly, I want to make sure it at least starts out the way it is intended to run.

If your posts are not vulgar or obscene, personal attacks on someone, completely off the wall, or somehow violate Google's policies, then I intend to post them, whether I agree with you or not. This blog is intended to offer a free exchange of ideas and opinions, not uniformity. Because someone does not agree with me (or you) doesn't mean they are stupid or wrong.

Feel free to respond or challenge anything said, but be prepared for the same to happen to your post.  Identifying yourself would be great, but is not necessary.  Assuming everyone applies the standards for debate used 20 years ago, rather than today's apparent standards, everything should be a.o.k. For you town folks, think "Town Meeting Decorum".

I will try to get to comments/posts at least twice a day. No point in doing something like this otherwise. Feel free to offer up what you want, and I will do the same.
Let's see how it goes.
