It's Tuesday, regular garbage day again!

Well  seems things got a tad heated at the Board of Health meeting.  Having not been there, and going just from the report in The Standard Times.

We have had somewhat of a respite from the turbines recently.

As far as I am aware the status of the pending suit in Fairhaven is on going (this one from what I understand deals with the legal issue of the permit issued by the building commissioner).

As has been said, the last special election didn't end the issue.  Indeed one can imagine various scenarios where it will be years before the issue gets resolved on the legal front.  Politically, I think the matter has two more election cycles in Town, but that is a guess through a murky crystal ball.

The proposed pot by-law from the planning board was submitted to the selectmen and forwarded back to the planning board.  Chapter 40A, section 5 of the statutes is a bit quirky in some aspects on the initiation of the zoning process.  But hey, it is what it is.

Anyway, it has been submitted to the selectmen by the planning board, and last night the selectmen submitted it back to the planning board.  Again the announced proposed date for the public hearing is December 10, 2013.  Perhaps the proposed by law will make it to the planning board page on the town web site.  More on the specific proposal as the hearing date approaches.

Bit of a blip in an appointment last night for a position.  Answer to the question raised is in the town code, specifically a piece of the special legislation which comprises part of what is our present "charter".  Been there since enacted.  Section A502-3.  Going from memory here as to the cite, but it is in the "Special Acts" section of the code.

Anyway, as noted it is there, has always been there since enactment.

Next week is the Thanksgiving Holiday.  A long weekend for some.  Not as many as there use to be.  A shopping event for too many I think.

Anyway, I think that is it for today.

Be safe.
