Monday. Just another day ...

Anyone known what happened with the pot plant hearing scheduled for last Tuesday night?

I was going to attend, however had the opportunity to hear my daughter give a speech so it was a no-brainer as to where I was going. Lots of no-brainers coming up for me.

Anyway, it was scheduled, the pot hearing.  Haven't heard a word about it. Totally has slipped my mind to ask about it too.

Have let some issues slide by as of late.

Th recent court decision on the last filed complaint on the turbines in town. The decision should put to rest at least the legal issues relative to siting and permitting here in town. What happens now? Your guess would be as good as mine at this point.

What else out there is worth mentioning?

Probably a whole bunch of stuff.

There really is a lot of stuff going on worth talking about.  A whole bunch of stuff going on that isn't worth the time or effort, although the temptation is great for nothing more than some things deserve a shot or two;and, a few things that merit some attention simply for the pure entertainment value.

Anyway ...

The saying is knowledge is power.  Seems a whole lot of people forget also the saying a little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing (actually a twisting of a line from a poem, but ...). Einstein, as with most things seems to have said it best: "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing. So is a lot"

Yes indeed, we live it dangerous times.

Anyway, again ...

I ran across a quote this morning:
I love to have battles of the wits with people that can dish fast and dirty - and it leads to problems occasionally, 'cause I can sound mean without attempting to be mean. - Alton Brown
The other problem of course is when you have engaged the battle, you sometimes discover your opponent is unarmed. Really no fun in that at all.

To butcher an Eastwood line, "A person's got to know their limitations". The failure of which often leads one to stray in the the dangerous territory noted above. Often a huge difference between knowing something and understanding it.

Anyway, that's all for today.

Be safe.

Well it's ridiculous if you told your enemy well in advance of your visit that you were coming, and not only are they unarmed when you arrive, but addition claim to not know you were coming. I think in that case it's fair to throw a shot, for either being unprepared or not telling the truth. One or the other is true.

About Clint Eastwood's line, It's good to know your limitations and if need be publically admit them. But when one admits a deficiency of knowledge, and the source of that knowledge refuses to reveal the truth one seeks, it makes one wonder why not.
